How to get here

For non-car drivers, there are trains either to Carlisle or connecting with a train to Carlisle from all parts of the country, from Carlisle there are 18 trains daily to Dumfries from 5am to 11pm, and it is a 1 hour journey.

For people travelling from further North, there are 12 trains daily from Glasgow to Dumfries between 6:30 am and 11pm, also, 12 trains run from Edinburgh via Carlisle from 7 am to 7 pm.

Once in Dumfries there are 8 busses daily Monday to Saturday (service 372) from 6:45am to 5pm, and 3 on a Sunday, at 7:30,11:30 and 3:30pm. It is a 5 minute walk from the bus stop in Sandyhills to Wild Oak Woods, or we could collect you from the bus stop.

For car drivers we are about an hour from the M6, take the first junction after the welcome to Scotland sign (A75), follow signs for Dumfries, then A710 Solway Coast signs, turn right in Sandyhills and we are on right after the holiday village chalets.

For drivers from the North, exit M74 at junction 15 sign posted A701 Dumfries, follow into Dumfries then follow A710 Solway Coast signs, turn right in Sandyhills and we are on right after the holiday village chalets.
